Only Paws and Horses – the South East’s most exciting equestrian and canine event
Horse and dog lovers – make a date in your diary for the bank holiday weekend of 30th to 31st May 2010. The South East region hosts a brand new show: Only Paws and Horses, held at Kent’s popular Hop Farm. This unique, inaugural event features a range of equestrian and canine displays, plus an Open Show jumping competition with a Hickstead Horse Feeds Show Jumper of the Year qualifier, and an agility and companion dog show.
The event also features British Carriage Association displays, Western and Shire horse riding demos, and activities with the West Kent Pony Club. Only Paws and Horses also exclusively boasts The K9 Aqua Zone, with its canine training pool and Dash’ N’ Grab swimming races for visitors’ dogs. In addition, spectators shouldn’t miss attractions such as K9 Athletics, Siberian Husky Welfare Association demos, Cani Cross, the ‘have a go’ Dogstable Course and an exciting Flyball tournament.
The Dash ‘N’ Splash spectator event is unique to the event’s organisers, and showcases a special ‘long jump into water’ event, where specially trained dogs sprint along a 30ft ramp and dive into 40ft of water. Details can be found at dashnsplash.co.uk, and video footage at youtube.com – type in dash n splash.
